BIRŠTONAS SUMMER ARTS ACADEMY 2016
After three successful editions, the 4th Birštonas Summer Arts Academy again invites students and recent graduates of music schools, conservatories, and universities, as well as music teachers to participate in a ten-day programme of events. The varied programme will include master classes taught by internationally renowned musicians and music educators, a series of lectures and screenings, workshops, rehearsals, concerts, discussions, and informal meetings.
The Birštonas Summer Arts Academy is taking place in the fast-growing resort town of central Lithuania. Recently reconstructed performance venues, supportive environment, and natural beauty of Birštonas provide a unique setting for creative work and improvement of professional skills. All events will take place at the Birštonas Culture Centre, Kurhaus, Birštonas Arts School and other venues.
ACTIVE PARTICIPANTS
The tuition fee is €150. It covers no less than four hours of individual tuition, admission to all master classes and concerts, rehearsal pianist, access to practice pianos and rehearsal space, performance opportunities, a certificate of participation, and free leisure activities.
Admission is open to a limited number of young musicians age 15 to 35, majoring in piano and voice.
Active participants will be selected by CV and questionnaires. Selected applicants will be notified of their acceptance to the Birštonas Summer Arts Academy by 1 June 2016.

Invited applicants must pay the tuition fee in full by 10 June 2016. See contact information below for bank details. The participant’s registration is recorded following the transfer of the participant’s fee.
PASSIVE PARTICIPANTS (AUDITORS)
The fee is €5 per day. It is paid upon arrival in Birštonas, and covers a certificate of participation.
